Des Moines Register Endorses Clinton and McCain
The Des Moines Register has endorsed Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton and John Stacey McCain. The reasons (for both)? Experience, readiness and competence.
Sadly for these two candidates, DMR also endorsed Edwards in 2004, Bradley in 2000 and Simon in 1988.
Aside for DRM, the Boston Globe also published an article endorsing two candidates. The favorite candidates of the Globe: Barack Obama and John McCain.
Yesterday was, then, quite a big day for McCain. Especially someone like Mitt Romney could’ve used those endorsements as well. Sadly for him not so.
The question now becomes whether McCain will be able to make a comeback or whether all these endorsements simply mean that the Senator loses with honor.
Mark Levin: “So, McCain is two for two with the lib-media endorsements. He remains the media’s favorite Republican candidate after all.”
There’s a lot to that of course: McCain was the media’s favorite candidate and remains so to this day. Realizing this also makes it easier to understand why quite some newspapers and news channels constantly speak about a McCain comeback… while the polls show that the race for the Republican nomination will be between Huckabee, Romney and possibly Giuliani.

McCain’s media support isn’t only from liberal sources. McCain is two for two today from liberal papers but he also received the endorsement recently from the Union Leader.
McCain’s middle name is Sidney.
