Hillary: More Admired than Oprah

December 26th, 2007 By: Michael van der Galien | Tags:

More people admire Senator Hillary Clinton than Oprah Winfrey. According to Gallup, Winfrey is becoming increasingly influential however. This year, 16% of respondents said they admire her most. The same can be said for Clinton, however: 18% said they admire her most of all women in the world. That’s up from last year: in fact, it’s the highest number of admirers since the year 2000.

Clinton peaked in 1998 “when 28% said they most admired her, just as her husband was being impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives in the Monica Lewinsky matter.”

“After Clinton and Winfrey, the remainder of the top 10 most admired women are Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice (5%), actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie (3%), first lady Laura Bush (3%), former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (2%), former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto (2%), House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, author Maya Angelou, and Queen Elizabeth II (all at 1%),” Gallup reports.

Angelina Jolie? Maya Angelou? Queen Elizabeth?

Why?

Who do I admire most?

My girlfriend. She may be little known to all of you, but I know her strength, loyalty, love, perserverence and her compassion. No one can top her.

She’s followed by Thatcher, Clinton, Rice and Merkel.

The poll also shows that President George W. Bush is the most admired men in the world. Somehow. I’m not sure how that is possible: probably his hardcore supporters. You know, the ones who think he’s doing a heck of a job even when hundreds of people die weekly in Iraq because he didn’t send enough troops (before the surge); when a hurricane strikes and the government doesn’t do anything to help hundreds of thousands of Americans; the list goes on and on.

Anyway, he’s closely followed by Bill Clinton.

Personally I’d like to see Nelson Mandela on top of that list. He accomplished a great many things in his life. He – together with many others of course – ended Apartheid. He was the first black president of South Africa.

A peaceful yet determined man.

How much did hillary pay to get that endorsement.  People in their right mind  know Oprah is a real lady, who helps people. Hillary is a self centered person who only cares about herself. She is a lier a cheat. Come on people wake up.
