As I reported yesterday, I did what Pajamas Media asked its readers to do (namely to predict the top 3 in Iowa and New Hampshire) and this is what I guessed:
Democrats:
1. Barack Obama
2. Hillary Clinton
3. John Edwards (edited, h/t Lynx)
Republicans:
1. Mitt Romney
2. Mike Huckabee
3. John McCain
Today, however, I think I should have given these answers:
Democrats:
1. Barack Obama
2. John Edwards
3. Hillary Clinton
(4. Bill Richardson)
(5. Irrelevant)
Republicans:
1. Mitt Romney
2. Mike Huckabee
3. Ron Paul
(4. Fred Thompson)
(5. John McCain)
John Hawkins believes that it will be Huckabee, Romney, McCain, Thompson and then Paul in Iowa. The Political Insider says Edwards, Obama, Clinton, Justin Gardner believes that Obama will win it for the Democrats, followed by Edwards and Clinton.
Richelieu, lastly, believes it’ll be:
Obama: 35%
Edwards: 28%
Clinton: 27%
And:
Huckabee: 28%
Romney 27.25%
McCain 17%
Thompson 11%
H/t Michelle Malkin.
Guess people! What will the results be? Who will win? Who will lose?

I think there is a good chance Edwards will probably pull out the win in Iowa under their Democrat caucus rules where you can recast your vote if you original candidate did not receive at least 15% of the vote. Before the recasting of votes those eligible to vote again will have candidate supporters their trying to influence how they recast the votes. And Edwards is already polling well as voters second choice. If I were a gambler I wouldn’t bet on predicting this type of selection unless I could score win money with a place bet. Still I am thinking it will be Edwards, Obama then Clinton. All close totals. The only way Obama takes it is if he manages to get enough college students out of the dorms on this school night. Republican selection is not as difficult a process. I am guessing it is Huckabee then Romney neck and neck. Nobody else will come close enough to matter.
I’m sticking with mine from yesterday
Iowa
Dem
Obama
Edwards
Clinton
Repub
Romney
McCain
Huckabee
I think I’m sticking to mine from yesterday too:
Dem:
1. Obama
2. Clinton
3. Edwards
Republican
1. Huckabee
2. Romney
3. Ron Paul
However I wouldn’t be surprised to see Clinton and Edwards or Huckabee and Romney switch places.
