Huckabee’s In It For The Long Whole Haul
His populist message will take him far, don’t you think?
Honesty requires of us to say, though, that he’s right about partisan politics and about government spending.

Commenters who repeatedly or egregiously violate these standards or who attempt to argue
publicly with editors regarding the comments policy may be banned from commenting further.
(1) Comments should address the substantive content of the post. Comments that repeatedly

Uhm, that would be "Huckabee in it for the long haul". Sometimes the Dutchman sneaks out eh?
LOL, Lynx. He actually does amazingly well.
I watched the Huckabee interview on MSNBC this morning- except for his cracks about yard signs and increased land values- he was fairly coherent. I can’t imagine him guiding the US through tough economic or foreign policy issues though.
Sorry Lynx. Fixed it.
haha, I liked the yard signs crack. he rolls with this stuff with no effort, Leno should watch out.
Huckabee gives me the impression he’d be fine with a recession, as long as it hurts employers and rich people :-p
That’s the impression that Huckabee’s opponents want you to take from him, supernovia, but it’s unsubstantiated. Listen to the tape again; he says: "That to me is what our Republican party ought to be about; it’s about everyone up and down the economic spectrum realizing that lower taxes and less government are good for everyone, not just the folks at the top, it’s good for folks everywhere."
That’s a far cry from Edwards’ "Two America’s" brand of
class warfarepopulism
