Clinton Closing the Gap In South Carolina

Good news for Hillary Clinton: she’s surging in South Carolina. Well surging… She’s up one point, while Obama is down one percent. This means that the gap is ‘only’ 13% with 1 day to go. MSNBC / McClatchy says that the gap is 8% by the way. Meanwhile, there are some interesting favorability ratings out:

FAV UNFAV NEUTRAL
Obama 63% 15% 22%
Clinton 57% 14% 29%
Edwards 54% 16% 28%

And Bill Clinton’s ratings? He’s more popular than any of the candidates: 75% of Democrats view him in a positive light. As Big Tent Democrat notes: “It is interesting that the voters are not as whiny and misguided on this than the pundits and some of the blogs. They seem to know what politics is.”

Stop nagging about Bill Clinton people: he still has a whole lot of political capital to spend.

That 13% is the same number, I believe, that was the last poll margin in NH as well. Let’s see what that Hillary machine can do in the last couple of days in SC as well

Yes, 13% is as I recall exactly the same number as the last time. This time however, the media is being a tad bit less loud about it, lest the be burned again.

I’ll wait to see the results myself. Here’s hoping SC has had enough of the Clinton machine.
