McCain’s Done

OK: forget about. McCain isn’t going to win the Republican nomination. Yesterday his obituary was published. In the form of a NYT endorsement. The idea behind the endorsement: McCain breaks with conservatives on important issues which is why he’s acceptable to liberals. Yeah. I’m not sure how that one actually, you know, helps McCain but thanks for the endorsement nonetheless NYT!

In the same op-ed, NYT gave an implicit endorsement of Giuliani. "What?" you say. Giuliani got some conservative street cred last night while responding to questions about the op-ed. How? Well, when a paper known for liberal bias rips a candidate up one side and down the other, he must be more conservative than we thought (or so the voting public might think).

Has anyone else noticed the vast amount of attention all those who are non-Republican pay to the Republican candidates?

Over at TMV why do SM, RS and MS post 9 Republican based threads to each 1 Democrat?

Are they still secretly running scared?……….that the Democrat candidates are not worth investigating because they will once again turn the election ball over inside the 20?

On one hand, my initial reaction to this NYT piece is why waste their newsprint and the readership’s time? Nonetheless, I just wonder if HRC gets the D nomination, might this "Plan B" endorsement actually be planting a seed?
