Both Dems Poll Better Than McCain
The latest poll indicates that both Democrats could beat John McCain in November. Hillary Clinton leads him, nationally, by 6%, Barack Obama truly destroys McCain: he leads him by 12 percentage points.
Of course these polls don’t mean much in so far that six months in politics equals 10 years in normal life. Anything can happen. But it does mean something. It is relevant. Why? Because the poll shows that both Democrats could beat McCain at least in theory.
That’s one.
And two is that Obama is the stronger opponent in a national election at this point in time, but he also has some severe weaknesses. He has to make up for them by picking a good running mate.
