Obama Commits Another Gaffe
This is a very serious gaffe: Barack Obama describes his grandmother as “a typical white person” which means, in his opinion, that she’s very prejudiced against blacks, if not a racist (as are all whites seemingly). As John Hinderaker puts it: ‘think about it: can you imagine any Presidential candidate, in any context, describing anyone as a “typical black person?” Or a “typical Asian person?” Worse, what Obama said was that the “typical white person” views others of different races with fear and suspicion. Obama appears to be digging himself in deeper and deeper.’ This is utterly stupid of Obama. Stop digging!

Then I guess Barack must be a "typical white person" too because he confessed to the same fears in his book:
– Barack Obama from ‘Dreams of My Father’,
"When his grandmother wants a ride to work because the day before, while awaiting the bus, she was threatened by a black panhandler, he is outraged — at his grandparents. . . Later, when he moves to the South Side of Chicago in 1984, he eventually discovers that, like his grandmother, he’s sometimes scared of black males on the street, too."
And the fears are shared by others:
– The Reverend Jesse Jackson, as quoted in US News, 3/10/96,
"There is nothing more painful to me … than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery, then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved. "
LOL…yeah, I’ve always thought of Jesse Jackson as a typical white person.
First rule of holes, Barack…
This is what happens when you talk about race. Senator Obama isn’t calling his grandmother racist nor "typical white people". Typical white people and typical black people wonder if the young black male walking down the street is about to "do something". That is a fact. And those typical white people and typical black people aren’t racists. And many aren’t bigots. They are victims of a perpetuating stereotype. In fact, I’ll put my money on this. There are more typical white people who worry about black male behavior in the street than typical black people that think like Rev. Jeremiah Wright. And guess what white folks, your not racists for feeling that.
"That is a fact."
How about you not telling others what they feel huh?
Some may think like that, others don’t. In fact, I know plenty "white folks" who don’t. Hell, I’m one of them.
It makes no difference what he meant by his remark — uttering the phrase "typical [any race/color] person" is racist, by definition.
History will show this quip as Obama’s "you people" moment. It is now impossible for him to be elected president.
Mark your calendar — today is the day John McCain became president.
“Earlier in the week it appeared that Obama had a free pass to make slurs. There was no media outcry when Obama, wearing a green velvet suit at a Saint Patrick’s Day event, inserted an apostrophe in his name and declared “O’bama, not your typical Irish Mick”.”
