This time because he insulted Italians in a piece published in the most recent issue of Trumpet Newsmagazine. He calls crucifixion “public lynching Italian style” and writes that “Italians for the most part looked down their garlic noses at the Galileans.” If Rev. Wright wants Obama to win this thing, I suggest he remains silent for a while. He’s damaging himself, his Church, the African-American community and Obama. O, and he presents himself as an idiot. Anyway, an entirely different subject: this is a despicable smear. There are valid grounds on which one can criticize Obama, but this isn’t one of them. Why the Daily Mail would lend itself to publish this article is beyond me. Well, thinking about it; it’s not that surprising considering this newspaper’s ‘quality.’

I don’t know. The more I read about the two books that Obama has written, excerpts, etc – I am starting to think he has some real father issues. For some reason he idoloizes and idealizes a father that abandoned him and his mother, spends most of the time in his first book building his father up – whom he had not even seen in years, and trivializing his mother and her parents even though they gave him everything as far as growing up and opportunities are concerned. And then the various stories that you read about his family in Kenya are not very flattering.
I will get his books from the library and read further, because I am certainly worried he might become president and would like to really know what drives him, but the more I learn the worse he looks in my eyes.
It is amazing to me that even after Rev. Wright retires from the pulpit, some people still think that every word that comes out of his mouth somehow reflects Obama’s real beliefs more than Obama’s own statements across his own entire life.
I wonder if those who hold Obama responsible for every word that every friend or associate of his says would be willing to undertake the same burden themselves.
Jason, It’s because Obama still embraces Jeremiah Wright. It is amazing to me how many Americans continue to drink the kool-aid that Obama keeps dispensing.
