Certain defeat doesn’t deter Ron Paul or his backers
My take on it; that’s because they’re disconnected from reality. What’s your take?

My take is that you want to kick around some zombies tonight
My take on it: psychobabble is the favorite game of intellectual slobs. Why not ask the campaign what their purpose is? Or would that be connecting to reality, thus spoiling the dishonest psychobabble game.
The macro-view of his policies certainly is woefully short on logic.
However, there are plenty of reasonable reasons of staying in a loosing race. 30 Million reasons in Ron Paul’s case, which I believe can be diverted to other campaigns when he finally withdraws. The more time he spends in the race, the more national press he gets, the more money he can collect.
You forgot "voting on principal"…

If 20% of the people vote for someone or some set of principles, although there guy may not win, the establishment WILL take notice. If those same people vote for somebody they don’t agree with because "my guy can’t win and I want to vote for someone who can win" then their collective power is hidden and becomes nothing at all.
Seriously, the only people divorced from reality are those choosing to vote for Clinton, Obama, or McCain. In my conversations with them, I find their divorce is primarily the result of willful ignorance. Cheers, John H. Huckans, Ph.D.
There are those who equate victory with shallow and superficial things such as popularity, then there are those who value principled integrity, honesty and doing the right thing for it’s own sake more than being able to say "I voted for the winner of the popularity contest". Who’s reality has the more solid foundation?
Of course there are always going to be those who ask a silly question like, "If a true patriot doesn’t have a chance to win why run?" Well I suppose thats what makes the last true Americans left that want to restore the Constitution of this great country unique. A return from the bastardization of the "Bill of Rights" we have endured under the current Bush leadership and also the ineptness of the Democratic party to even impeach or turn around the unpatriotic "Patriot Act". Takes a strong person to understand what leadership it would take as a President to accomplish that. Thanks Ron Paul for keeping the American Dream alive. Finally a choice besides Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum as they are always two sides of the same coin.
It has nothing to do with a disconnect from reality. It all has to do with getting out a message to people that are willing to listen. I believe the media is disconnected from reality when they were ignoring the support Ron Paul had during the past year. Perhaps if they quit talking about John McCain after his 13% in Iowa, this election could have gone differently.
My take? Ron Paul and supporters are more attuned to reality than the others. And it scares them to death. So they (we) keep goin’ because we are NOT quitters and we want DESPERATELY to see some changes for the better. At this point it’s all about WAKING UP those who are still asleep. Now, roll over and stop snoring.
Just to chime in, congrats, you made it to the google news search for "Ron Paul" I don’t know how this would be considered news, except for "Oh my God this idiot is communicating" kind of news.
You are all disconnected with reality, Ron Paul is the only candidate that treated you like an adult, and what did you do to him? You ridiculed him because you base your opinions on what others have told you. You don’t want to own up to the fact that Yes, US foreign policy did really create all of our problems abroad, and No this war has not been declared by congress, so Yes, it is Illegal. And staying the course to SAVE FACE? You should be ashamed, they don’t attack us because we are "Free" they attack us because we are meddling in their affairs and we need to stop.
So go hide under your blanket, John McCain and Obama and Hillary are going to protect you from the big bad problems of the world. How about we have a politician who actually understands the economy. The "Bail out" everyone democrats and "let me talk to my advisor" McCain don’t hold a match to Ron, who has been schooling Bernake since he took over.
Do you even know anything about Ron Paul? Did you know that he would not allow his children to use financial aid for college because it is subsidized by the Government! Did you know that more US Servicemen have donated to Ron Paul’s campaign than any other candidate. Don’t take my word for it, look it up (I am expecting you to not look it up because you are a colossal failure, and failures hide from facts)
John McCain spoke of Paul as the "Most Honest Man in Washington" Did you ever hear that anywhere?
