Florida Residents Evacuated Due to Fay
‘Rescue teams are evacuating people from 180 homes in a Florida town about 25 miles north of Orlando due to flooding from what was Tropical Storm Fay,’ the Associated Press reports.
‘Officials say they’re using boats to evacuate people from DeBary, where some streets are under four feet of water.’
Although Fay has weakened a little bit in recent days, 13 Americans were killed by the storm nonetheless. Additionally, many homes have been destroyed; the water level continues to rise in some areas.
