Funny News of the Day

Uganda’s Minister of Ethics and Integrity Nsaba Buturo wants to ban miniskirts. Too many women wear the sexy outfit, Bututo said, which frequently results in traffic accidents; instead of focusing on the road and the other traffic, many male drivers cannot help but look at the beautiful women walking around in mini-miniskirts.

The minister argued that wearing such a small piece of clothing is comparable to going naked. Walking around naked, however, is illegal already, he argued. Why then shouldn’t wearing miniskirts be outlawed?

“If you find a naked person you begin to concentrate on the make-up of that person and yet you are driving,” Buturo told the BBC.

“These days you hardly know who is a mother from a daughter, they are all naked.”

He went on to say that the miniskirt is just one of the many things wrong with his people’s moral values. “Theft and embezzlement of public funds, sub-standard service delivery, greed, infidelity, prostitution, homosexuality [and] sectarianism…” he said.

No word on whether Buturo himself had an accident recently because a beautiful woman wearing a miniskirt drew his attention.

Policy proposal: Male drivers should be banned because THEY are the ones at fault for being prone to accidents whenever they see a "sexual object". Also some men equate not wearing the veil to going around naked as well. So the "she-devil" is always there tempting the male, but whose fault is it?

Am a Ugandan woman but i think the minister has gone too far. He doesn’t like anything worn by the young women. Why should we suffer, all in the name of MEN?
He does not like tight pants too. Pls, arent men supposed to be used to seeing women wearing all kinds of outfits by now?
