Obama, Socialist

October 9th, 2008 By: Michael van der Galien | Tags:

In the comment section of my post about Barack Obama having been a member of the socialist New Party, some argued that, perhaps, he became a ‘member’ without actually doing anything for it. The fact of the matter is, however, that this is not correct.

If Obama was a member he signed a contract with the New Party.

Via Newsbusters comes the following:

About 50 activists attended the Chicago New Party membership meeting in July. The purpose of the meeting was to update members on local activities and to hear appeals for NP support from four potential political candidates. The NP is being very active in organization building and politics. There are 300 members in Chicago. In order to build an organizational and financial base the NP is sponsoring house parties. Locally it has been successful both fiscally and in building a grassroots base. Nationwide it has resulted in 1000 people committed to monthly contributions. The NP’s political strategy is to support progressive candidates in elections only if they have a concrete chance to “win”. This has resulted in a winning ratio of 77 of 110 elections. Candidates must be approved via a NP political committee. Once approved, candidates must sign a contract with the NP. The contract mandates that they must have a visible and active relationship with the NP.

The political entourage included Alderman Michael Chandler, William Delgado, chief of staff for State Rep Miguel del Valle, and spokespersons for State Sen. Alice Palmer, Sonya Sanchez, chief of staff for State Sen. Jesse Garcia, who is running for State Rep in Garcia’s District; and Barack Obama, chief of staff for State Sen. Alice Palmer. Obama is running for Palmer’s vacant seat.

Now, I certainly understand it that those who support Obama, and a few of those who are reasonably caught in the middle, feel the need to defend the man and dismiss all accusations beforehand, but it seems to me that the available evidence indicates that this one topic, perhaps, on which Obama does not need others to automatically defend him, but on which he is supposed to give answers to questions raised months ago already. He lied about Bill Ayers, “just a guy in my neighborhood,” it now seems he also tried to hide his connection with a socialist party. That is worth looking into, even when you are pro-Obama.

Or is it alright if your favorite candidate deceives, lies, and distorts?

YES, IT"S TRUE. OBAMA WAS A MEMBER OF THIS PARTY. I MET HIM ONCE THERE, AND DANNY WAS THERE TOO. OBAMA TALKED A LOT ABOUT HIS MARXIST IDEAS, POLITICS, EXTREME RADICAL IDEAS HE PLAN TO INTRODUCE TO SCHOOLS etc.

This is a HUGE issue that McCain’s camp has not address AT ALL. I know he has to be careful in choosing his words, unfortunately, because the left is just waiting for him to "fly off the handle" or show, in their distorted minds, even the slightest hint of "anger" or "racism".

BUT, (and the kind that Sir Mix A-Lot would definitely rap about)
there is absolutely no harm in calling Obama out for what he truly is or exposing the fact that he is indeed, a socialist, if not, communist. He should be made to answer, and account for, his past and current relationships, both public and private. If McCain allows him to go from catchphrase, to catchphrase, without having to account for any of the major issues as to why he is completely unfit to hold office in ANY branch of govt, much less, the presidential office.

I could go on for days but, the fact is, Barack Hussein Obama was, is, and will continue to be, a full-fledged, anti-democratic socialist, to say the very least. And we all know what the evolution of socialism is leads to…or have we so soon forgotten what our country fought so hard to defeat, not even 2 decades ago.
