North Korea Leader Appears on Television
In order to counter rumors that leader Kim Jong-Il would suffer from serious health issues, North Korea’s leader decided to go on television on Saturday.
That is, a North Korean television channel showed photos of Kim supposedly visiting a military facility.
Interestingly, the channel did not say when the visit was supposed to have taken place. In other words, it might as well have been in June of 2003.
The narrator said the female soldiers’ “hearts were pounding” because of Kim, CNN reported.
Which may very well be true, but the question remains when the visit took place and whether they’ve got more to proof it than some photos.
As far as I am concerned it is pretty safe to assume that American and South Korean intelligence were and are correct; Kim probably suffered a stroke last month, and he may very well recover slower than his co-leaders hoped.
