SNL Bailout Skit Redux

I’m a couple days late on this, I guess, but thought an update was proper.

Early last week, several commentators were wondering what had become of the skit on the previous Saturday’s SNL where they parodied the aftermath of the bailout bill passage. Many copies of the skit were removed from YouTube on request of NBC, and it disappeared from their website. Theories about this turn of events ranged far and wide, with Michelle Malkin suggesting that NBC had gotten pushed around by George Soros for the moniker he received during the skit, “Owner, Democratic Party.”  The truth, it seems, lies in another part of that skit.

I noted in the comments of Michael’s article on the video pulling that I had found that caption below the part of the skit with Herbert and Marion Sandler, “People who should be shot” to be quite provocative.  I’m all for free speech, but I’m guessing the Sandlers wouldn’t view the caption so favorably, possibly as much to fear for their safety from wackos out there.  The FCC might not be so quiet about it, either.

In the edited video, the caption is removed, and although I don’t remember the original video by heart, apparently also removed are allegations of corruption that were made against them.
