Giuliani: McCain Campaign Tone “Just Right”
Appearing, he seems to become a regular guest, at MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” former Mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani said that the McCain campaign’s tone is “just right.”
“I think that John McCain is emphasizing the economy,” Giuliani went on to say.
The question, of course, was aimed at the perceived negativity of the campaign.
When asked whether Acorn, Bill Ayers, Rev. Jeremiah Wright et al. will come up, Giuliani said that he expected them to come up if for nothing else, than because reporters ask about it whenever they get the opportunity.
MSNBC’s Chuck Todd asked Giuliani about the target audience of McCain’s economic plan. According to Todd, it seemed to be an attempt to appeal to elderly voters, whose support he desperately needs in key battlegrounds such as Pennsylvania.
Giuliani replied that the plan was not merely aimed at them, but at all working people, and especially home-owners. It is a plan, Giuliani said, that hopes to stimulate the economy and to strengthen it in the long run.
