Spain Hit by Car Bomb

Earlier today, a car bomb exploded at a university in Pamplona, northern Spain. There were no reports of deaths in the blast, but at least 15 individuals were reported injured. Several other cars, additionally, were destroyed by the blast.

The University of Navarra is near ‘Basque Country,’ where ETA terrorists continue their violent struggle against the central government in Madrid.

Shortly before the blast, local officials had received a warning call from the ETA.

Jose Antonio Alonso, spokesman for the governing Socialist party said: “Eta has once again displayed its vileness.

A 9-year-old Ecuadoran studying at the university, who witnessed the attack, told the Associated Press news agency: “Suddenly the whole building shook and there was a huge column of smoke. It was tremendous, a huge explosion.

According to Bernardino Leon, a University of Navarra professor, the explosion of the car bomb caused several other cars to explode as well.
