At my polling place in Texas phones and cameras weren’t allowed within 100 feet of the premises. In PA I guess it’s OK to evict Republican poll monitors and replace them with thugs.

@susie, what’s the point of “calling them out” after the election? Too late then.

@susie I grew up outside of Detroit in the late 1960's. The violence of the Detroit 1967 riots and STRESS makes two NBPP members with billyclubs a trivial matter. The Right is going viral with this non story. This plum from GetewayIdiot with this commenter's claims being absurd. Only Toledo issued a memo, no other cities are worried about Watts or Detroit 1967 redux.

@Rudi666 I voted for Obama but I still couln't agree with you more. I HOPE Obama calls them out on this regardless of who wins the election. If the BPP felt the need, they could have sent some intelligent guys to stroll around, not block the doors and with a weapon, not thugs.

These “black panthers” aren’t needed or wanted at the polls. They bring a dark cloud to the success of Senator Obama. Barack Obama doesn’t need them, Reverend Jesse Jackson, Reverend Al Sharpton or any of the other civil rights activists to win this election. In case anyone hasn’t noticed, Obama has won the support of at least 44% of the white population…largely in part because we are impressed with the man’s talent, ambition, plans, and his ability to reach all races, ages, and ethnicities…by bringing us together. These divisive actions by the black panthers are embarrassing and have no part in our society.

I am a very proud white, middle class voter who has put everything I’ve got into this campaign and my support for Senator Obama…but this I find very offensive. They are lucky I didn’t show up to that polling center. I’d have given them a piece of my mind and told them what they can do with their billy clubs.

I guess Obama and McCain would agree thet sticks must be outlawed. It seems that the new civilian security forces will be very busy confiscating sticks and guns.

I wonder how easy it is to prove voter intimidation when it is undertaken by a small group or individual. It’s not that I doubt the guy’s intentions, they seem rather clear, but I’m afraid that it’ll be hard to prove his intent and therefore hard to punish him like he deserves. Unless they can find witnesses within the group willing to testify against him or online stuff that advertised the intentions, I’m afraid that he’ll probably get off scott free. Hopefully he’s stupid enough to have left some proof of his intentions.
