Biden: “Girl-Girls are Tougher Than Girl-Boys”

One of the people we will sorely miss if Barack Obama loses today’s election (unlikely) is Sen. Joe Biden.

Biden is known for his gaffes, and he made another one yesterday, blathering on about why some women are tough and others are not.

Speaking about his sister, Val, his wife Jill, and Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill, who introduced the Bidens at the rally of 1,100 people in the gym at Longview Community College, Biden said: “You know why I think Jill likes Claire McCaskill so well, Senator McCaskill? Jill is one of five sisters, Claire is one of three sisters. And I tell you what, you women raised with sisters are different than women raised with brothers.”

He continued: “My sister is smart, runs every one of my campaigns; is beautiful; graduated with honors from college; is homecoming queen. But she’s a … she is what I call a ‘girl-boy’ growing up, you know what I mean?”

“And I tell you what? Girl-girls are tougher than girl-boys,” he said. “But there’s one important thing I noticed. The great thing about marrying into a family with five sisters, there’s always one that loves you. ‘Cause you can count on splitting them a bit. You know what I mean?”

He then realized that he was once again making life hard on himself saying, “I shouldn’t be going off like this, but — hey, folks, 37 more hours, 37 more hours.”

It is undoubtedly true that Biden is looking forward to election day: finally, he will be able to speak more honestly and openly, making gaffe after gaffe. Whatever he says after election day, it won’t cost him and Obama any votes; they will already have won. The same goes, of course, when they lose and even more so, for Biden will play a relatively minor role in the Senate, where he can safely make gaffes, for no one will pay any attention to him.

But if Obama and Biden win, Biden could very well become the clown of the administration. He will give everyone, yes even liberals, enough material to work with. Especially The Daily Show and Saturday Night Live will have a great time making fun of the gaffetastic yet arrogant VP, new and old media will do the same, writing about the comedian who could become America’s president if something would happen to Obama.
