Palin Gives her Perspective on the Aftermath Turmoil

Shortly after she arrived in Alaska, Governor Sarah Palin gave an interview to an Alaska radio talk show in which she explained some of the internal problems of the McCain campaign and her own frustrations.

In the interview she made clear that she agreed with the criticism aired by some that she should have been allowed to be herself. It was clear that she felt hindered by some aides to Senator John McCain and herself who refused her to be “Sarah.”

Additionally, she explained that one of the most frustrating aspects of the campaign was that whenever she wanted to talk to the media, and especially to Alaskan media, she faced stiff opposition from some campaign aides. She felt it was her duty to talk to Alaskan journalists, since she was still the Governor of Alaska, but she had to bypass these aides in order to do so, after which she was accused of “going rogue.”

As for the names of the aides involved, it seems likely that we are talking about Wallace and Chris Schmidt, but Palin did name any names.

You can listen to the interview here.

It is clear that Palin is frustrated by some aides and even more angry about the recent ‘leaks’ whose only goal it is to destroy Palin’s image.

I would like to say to Sarah Palin that all the backbitting and “blame” being placed on you should fall on deaf ears. 1). The staff are acting as sore losers trying to place the blame elsewhere. Hope they have another day job because their behavior is certainly NOT going to endear them to anyone else in the political arena. 2). The attacks on you are because you are not the ‘Usual” Washington clone. I find that very refreshing. 3). There were many reasons why you and John McCain did not get elected and it was not your fault. 3). It was clear to me that you and John McCain show the grace and good character to serve in the highest office after the concession speech. I was never more sure that the two of you belonged in office. 4). Just because someone can talk in public well does not mean they are smarter or better qualified to be in any office. It just means they waste more time in front of a mirror listening to themselves talk. I would be more likely to vote for someone who was honest and spoke from the heart than any so called “polished” self involved professional speaker. I voted for you and John McCain and will never apologize or regret it. If either of you ever run for office again I will vote for you and you can count on me always. I have many friends and family how feel the same even though we live on the Gulf Coast. Even though I disagree with some of your policies (I used to live in Alaska)I have found you to be much more honest and trustworthy than Obama and Biden. I believe the press decided they wanted them to win and covered their behinds but served yours up on a platter. Shameful. I no longer believe much of what I see on the national news channels. I wish you the best for the future and I sincerely hope to see you in the future politically. Hold your head up and be proud of who you are. You done good girl!

She can blame the media, now McCain advisors, but it’s SP herself who made all those headlines how unprepared she looked, showed and simple: is.
