Andrew Breitbart Talks Big Hollywood on ‘Red Eye’
Andrew Breitbart, co-founded of the Huffington Post and former contributor to the Drudge Report, went on Fox’s ‘Red Eye’ recent to talk about his latest online initiative, Big Hollywood (for which I write as well). The conversation was quite interesting for those interested in new media issues, conservatism, Hollywood (/ entertainment) and especially for those who want to spread conservatism and create a society in which differences of opinions are tolerated and accepted.
Watch the video:
As Breitbart explained during the interview, he decided to create Big Hollywood because of the lack of toleration for conservatism in Hollywood and because its productions often “portray Americans (and businesses) in the worst possible light.”
Whether conservatives and moderates like it or not, pop culture has a tremendous influence on society and culture as a whole. Not only do the influence American society, they also influence foreign societies, cultures and opinions about America. Hollywood is significant; it does not merely reflect existing values, opinions and culture, it also creates them.
