Global Warming Hits America: Record Snowfall
Global warming continues to cause trouble to this tiny, blue planet: A new record was set Wednesday when Chicago had its ninth consecutive day of measurable snowfall and Flint, Michigan, broke a 95-year-old record early Wednesday morning when the temperature plummeted to a frigid 19 below zero. The previous record? Minus 10, set in 1914.
It was expected to be -9 Thursday, with a 20 below zero wind chill, in Flint. It will be -5 Friday, while wind chills could reach below 25 again as soon as Saturday.
Meanwhile, it will likely to continue to snow in Chicago in the coming days.
Global warming sure is… cold!

I guess the eco terrorists thought we would get our usual 30 years of warming before the next cooling spell. But we only got 18 years! I would love to blame Al Gore for the missing 12 years of warming but he cannot control the climate anymore than our governments can. It is time to get the socalist environmental lobbiests out of our government. That includes the EPA. We have 22 years of cooling to go. Do you want to do that with no electricity or fuel?
I’d love to say that one winter, or a series of winters, doesn’t make a climate. But everytime there is a hot spell in July the narrow-minded ignorant so called and self ordained progressive thinkers are screaming about proof of global warming. So now it’s our turn!
What evidence demonstrates that the recent increase in global temperature is unprecedented?
The National Climate Data Center (NCDC) has maintained global average monthly and annual records of combined land and ocean surface temperatures since 1880, the earliest year for which reliable instrumental records were available worldwide. Based on NCDC data, nine of the top 10 warmest years globally have occurred since 1995. Adding to the evidence of direct temperature measurements, multiple studies by independent teams of researchers indicate that, across the Northern Hemisphere, the 1990s were likely the warmest decade of the past millennium-and possibly the past 2,000 years.

good thing they weren’t around during the last couple ice ages.
Can we really believe that we can predict the climate pattern of a planet that is billions of years old based on a few hundred years worth of data? How can that be?

Well if its any consolation, we’ve had above normal temps here in the Desert SW for the past week
I completed my PhD in Biogeochemistry and Ecology I am sure long before most of you were born. I have devoted years to climate science and have made a lot of money from government grants. I have lived through the new ice age scare and watched my colleagues rush for the grant money. that was proceeded by the population scare. The population growth models predicted the human race would disappear by 2000.
The science is far from settled.
There is no such thing as consensus in science. We do not vote on scientific truths. It must be a proven scientific fact, a theory or a hypothesis to be tested. We don’t vote; we do reproducible experiments and research. The proponents of global warming base everything on their models, which when given 1960 data cannot predict today’s temperatures. They have created a phony money machine.
I know lots of members of the Union Of Concerned Scientists. They were the people protesting the Vietnam War and Capitalism while I was in Grad school.
