Chas Freeman Really is the Wrong Man for the Job

March 8th, 2009 By: Michael van der Galien | Tags:

Where we criticized Chas Freeman, Obama’s choice to head the NIC, yesterday based on his ridiculous statements about Osama Bin Laden, America, Israel and 9/11, we’ve got even more material to work with today.

TNR reports that Freeman isn’t merely anti-Israel and a puppet of his Saudi masters, he’s also owned by the Chinese government. His views on the Tianenmen massacre that took place in 1989 can be summarized as follows: the government’s real mistake was to let the protests carry on for such a long time. They should’ve brought them to an end immediately.

Freeman defends the highly oppressive regime of China constantly. His support for the inexcusable has become so bad in this regard that 87 (Chinese, Chinese American and American) scholars have sent a letter to President Obama urging him to send Freeman packing. The scholars are outraged with Freeman’s blind support for the Chinese government and it general war on political freedom.
