Can Palin save her political career?

Hot Air’s AP wonders:

The peg for the FNC item is the ongoing freakification of her that I wrote about in the context of that Eminem video. The more tabloid nonsense washes in with the news tide, the more it erodes her credibility. (Latest chapter in the Levi/Palin feud: Sarahcuda insists that “over my dead body” would Johnston have been allowed to live with Bristol in their home.) Let’s try a patented Hot Air poll on this slow news night to see where you’re at on the question of career-saving. Option three is there mainly for our three lefty trolls. I’m more curious to see the split between options one and two. If you choose the latter, feel free to explain in the comments what you have in mind.

As I have said on numerous occasions, Palin has a serious image problem. She has to turn this thing around. She cannot allow her opponents to portray her as some kind of reli-freak, sex bomb with nothing important to say. Sooner or later she’ll have to fight back. The best way for her to do so is to let her staff counter immediately when someone or some group attacks her, and – for the rest – by seeking publicity only when she has something valuable to say about (national) policy.

She should not – ever – respond personally to any allegations by what’s-his-name (her daughter’s former fiancée). Others should take care of this matter for her. She should not. Every time she responds, this issue is back in the news, and slowly but surely Palin’s family will be called “trailor trash.”

Lastly, it would help if Republicans who aren’t too fond of her give her time to work on her image and her knowledge (for she certainly lacked it last year). She isn’t finished yet, she has years to work on her weaknesses, and to exploit her strengths more. She may make a comeback, she may also fail: we’ll see three years from now.

She responds because she is not terribly bright. Once again, how thankful are we that she is not second in command. EXTREMELY!

I am NOT a Sarah Palin fan, but, I do beleive the news media does indeed seek out people who are not a friend to her, such as the father of her grandson. These same reporters will print anything as long as Sarah Palin is NEWS! Unfortunately, Sarah herself appears to enjoy the “lime-light” as much as she continues to respond to everything they report.. I would say she is her own worst enemy. That in itself tells me volumes about her. She truly doesn’t “get it” and probably never will. Her ego just simply gets in her way. I do not believe the American people will ever look to her as credible for any public office in the future.

She has sent her staff to counter twice, Michael; it is only yesterday, that she made any official comment.
Do blandly respond as was done last fall, will not do any good. You think this whole thing is an accident, not on your life.
