One of the reasons these past eight years have looked the way they have is because Rove and Cheney were recognized and treated as leaders and direction-giving figures. At the top of the site there is now a good article about Hayek and the importance for conservatives to drop the soundbiting and catering to the base, well that's Rove's only forte and "contribution" to conservatism.
