Link Mess

link mess

Here is your daily link mess. Don’t know what ‘link mess’ is? Well, scroll down:

My good friend and one of the best conservative members of the blogosphere, Jules Crittenden, analyzes Glenn Greenwald’s interview with “the UN’s torture guy.” Go read Jules’ analysis – he completely destroys Greenwald.

The Caucus blog talks about John Murtha. Not sure what the entire post deals with – I stopped reading after three paragraphs – but every post that reminds us that Murtha is the Porker-in-Chief deserves a link.

Why oh why can’t we have a better press corps, wonders “No More Mister Nice.” I’ve often asked the same question, albeit not for the exact same reasons.

Chicago Boyz looks at how Somali pirates can be beaten by crews of ships that the former want to hijack. The winning combination? Pistols and a water hose. Yes, seriously. In other words, I get the distinct impression that simply fighting back causes the pirates to retreat.

Ann Althouse puts it as it is: “It’s blatant political posturing — and it has hurt our national security.”

Does the Obama administration exaggerate the threat posed by the swine flu? Blue Crab Boulevard certainly thinks so. “Of course, over-reacting is a way to divert attention to the clueless nature of the Obama administration.” Hugh Hewitt disagrees.

Britain’s Got Talent: and ‘talent’ does not have to be extremely beautiful.

‘There’s been a lot of talk lately, mainly amongst left wing hypocrites and Beltway conservative uptight types about how the right has supposedly engaged in “rampant, uncontrolled hate speech” since Barack Obama has been elected. Will they start examining their own backyard now that one of their most prominent spokespeople, Frank Rich, has taken the ‘torture’ memos and used them as a springboard to compare Bush/Cheney to … Columbine killers Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris,’ writes Sister Toldjah at Right Wing News.

And lastly, Liz Cheney takes on Norah O’Donnell over torture. Watch the video at Hot Air.

Comments that violate these standards may be edited or deleted without notice at the sole discretion of the editors. Commenters who repeatedly or egregiously violate these standards or who attempt to argue publicly with editors regarding the comments policy may be banned from commenting further.

(1) Comments should address the substantive content of the post. Comments that repeatedly or blatantly misrepresent the content of the post or of others' comments are not welcome. Comments that respond to something other than which the contributor or commenter may have said are irrelevant and should not be posted.

(3) Comments should not personally attack the character, personal integrity, or professional reputation of any PoliGazette contributor or of other commenters.

(4) Comments should reflect the contributions of the commenters themselves and should not include extensive cut-and-paste reproductions of others' words except insofar as necessary to supplement the commenter's own arguments. Link spam, trackback spam, and propaganda spam will be instantly deleted.

(5) Public figures are considered open to all substantive criticism of their policies and statements. Comments that present objectively false factual information about public figures (i.e. "Obama is a Muslim") or that attack public figures by attacking their families are not welcome. Comments that merely repeat slogans for or against a candidate without engaging in substantive comment are not welcome.

Questions or challenges to these policies or their application should be directed to the editors by email only.
