Well, well. Someone at AP decided to do some actual journalism instead of serving as a public relations bureau for the Obama campaign. Too bad they waited until there was no danger of the public actually learning anything useful about his economic program. The media will have to do a lot better than this to regain its credibility.

I started off thinking this was a slightly conservatively biased article (despite popular belief, it does exist there). After read the article, it seems pretty even handed.

If the MSM does not call out Obama and the democrats on this then we have no hope. Because most of the guys on the street do not live in blog land and do not eat, drink and think politics.

They get up, go to work and could care less about politics. THE MSM without an agenda is something we desperately need back in America.

You can still call out Obama without beating him up when he gets in the alley.

The MSM seems hell bent to repeat the mistakes they made with Bush/Cheney and 911 and Iraq. Only this time its to rubber stamp a country busting deficit spending spree that is more dangerous then invading Iraq.

Hmm... The AP has been one of the most devoted members of Obama's personal choir and appears to be suddenly developing journalistic instincts. Who knows where a suddenly professionalized news service could go in its quest for real accountability? Perhaps even to Barney Frank's blocking GWB's efforts to restrain mortgage lending to unqualified recipients? That's ancient history, of course, and the horse is out of the barn, but can it be led back to its stall [choir metaphor cont'd]?
