Oh no: Conservatives in Crisis!
What strikes me most about the “conservatives in crisis” articles that get published by America’s major newspapers, networks, websites, etc. every few hours, is that the authors seem to have a great time explaining to the public that the Republican Party is in disarray and why.
See for instance this article at ABC News. To summarize: nobody trusts conservative politicians any longer. They are either not fiscally conservative enough, or they are too conservative. Or both. Or neither, but then there is something else wrong with them. Oh, and conservative leaders have no idea how to turn this thing around.
Anybody else getting the impression that they just love this meme and will do everything in their power to keep it alive for weeks, possibly months to come?
Republicans – conservatives, and neoconservatives, and libertarians, and centrists; all types of Republicans that exist – and Independents have to fight back and let voters know that although the GOP has had some problems and needs to improve itself tremendously, there is no need to panic and they have to point out that Democrats have their own issues to deal with. Let’s not forget that the ‘Republicans are in trouble meme and don’t know what to do’ benefits just one group: liberal Democrats. They keep repeating this mantra over and over again because they know that a party in disarray, or one that appears to be in disarray, can never pose a threat to the Democrats’ attempt to form a permanent majority.

They are truly idiots. Watch within 4-8 years, the Republicans will be back with a stronger vengeance than ever, and they won’t even realize what hit them. It’s the same mistakes Democrats do every time, just like in 1993. Then the Republicans re-secured power, and they didn’t know what to do.
The problem is, Democrats rely on being the underdog. They have not developed a way to represent the majority, they have not tried to change their ways. Instead they’ve become more and more elitist and think they are “smarter” than the Republicans. They truly believe still, that Republicans are made up of uneducated religious people.
