Link Mess

link messHere is your daily link mess. Don’t know what ‘link mess’ is? Well, scroll down:

Crooks & Liars calls upon its readers to “call Governor Pawlenty to sign the certificate so Al Franken can finally be a senator.” I, on the other hand, ask you not to do so: Franken will eventually be declared the winner and steal Sen. Norm Coleman’s seat, but the longer this can be delayed, the better. Let’s not forget that Democrats may have trouble getting a filibuster proof majority without Franken – with him, however, it’s an entirely different story altogether.

Booker Rising: “The now-late Jack Kemp, who passed away last night, was/is well-liked and well-respected in Black America. He gets his props goes across ideological and party lines. Even back in my college days in the early 1990s when I was a socialist, I still had a soft spot for Mr. Kemp.”

Uh, oh. ,

Dave Price, who writes for Dean Esmay’s blog, takes on President Obama’s statement comparing himself to Winston Churchill by arguing that the late prime minister of Britain always opposed torture. Just like he, Obama, does. Go get ‘em Dave!

Political corruption among Canada’s lefties? Who would have thought?

How sweet. They love Obama. No, they’re obsessed with the man. No, they think he is the second coming of Jesus. No, they think he’s even better than that. Uhm. Yeah. Sweet?

Eric Golub explains why Donald Trump ‘gets it’: “Yes, Donald Trump likes to do things in grand style. Yes, style is a major part of everything he does. Yet my admiration for Mr. Trump is because when the rubber meets the road, substance wins. In Donald Trump’s world,  it is all about merit. He wants the best and brightest. He also wants the toughest. He wants those who work the hardest.” I’m not a fan of the way Trump often behaves but Golub is right: Trump values hard work more than anything in his employees. Those who refuse to give up, succeed. Having said that, rudeness may bring temporary success, but will always fire back in the long run.

And lastly, THE SKY IS FALLING! Or not. Jules is just too realistic.

    Michael,

“Franken will eventually … steal Sen. Norm Coleman’s seat” ?

Help me out here. Just what is Al Franken doing that you would characterize as theft?

    Jack
