The Imminent HUGE Palin Scandal…Still Not Here

July 11th, 2009 By: Michael Merritt | Tags: ,

Sarah PalinIf you recall, two days ago I wrote an article about how the left and other Sarah Palin haters have been reporting that the soon-to-be-resigned Alaskan governor is about to be hit with an indictment, apparently to have been announced this week.  Supposedly it is about receiving kickbacks from a contractor in return for Palin granting a contract to build the Wasilla Sports Center while she was still mayor of that city.

Well, the week is over and…I’m still waiting for that indictment, that scandal that was so huge she would have been forced to resign anyway.

Feeling the pressure yet, all you Palin haters?  Maybe not.  After all, it’s only been a week since Palin announced her resignation.  Hardly enough time for anything to be decided, right?  So, we’ll return to this next week.  I’ll be gone for a work trade show during the week, but when I return on Saturday, we’ll return to the “scandal that is definitely coming” and see where things stand.

If things go down as the liberals and Palin haters claim they will, I’ll man up and say I was wrong, because surely an indictment as imminent as this has to come soon, right?  On the other hand, I sure hope they will admit they were wrong if an indictment never comes.

The Palin-haters will cling to their certainty of a scandal to their dying breath. They’ll never believe they have anything to apologize for, because they KNOW they’re right.

ha, doubt it, after all we’re still waiting Kerry’s military records to prove what he was claiming.

Not to mention the Whitey Tape, which was also the fabrication of a liberal (or his “sources”), by the way.

The reason speculation like this gained any traction at all was Palin’s inability to make clear exactly why she was taking such a drastic step seemingly out of nowhere. Her statement that to finish out her term would be to quit confused people. Some figured she was sick of politics, some figured she wanted to start a presidential run early, and some figured there had to be something about to break. Nobody knew for sure, and we still don’t. None of this would have happened if she were able to think and speak clearly. Them’s the facts.

    Just wait.

Sarah will come out as a “birther” next week.

    On national TV.

@MarkOf Ohio There is no “figuring” anything with regard to Palin’s resignation. Palin has made numerous statements that explain exactly why she is resigning her office. It would seem you don’t want to know or you would have investigated beyond the common media reports which are the exact source of speculation. Who here believes mainstream media would report that she has a valid and responsible reason for resigning? Search for the statements she has made regarding the mounting cost to the state that her remaining governer would bring. The real speculation is not why she is resigning, but what will she do now?

Who cares? So long as she is gone, we can all rejoice.

The father of Governor Palin’s grandchild reported that Palin had discussed resigning so she could take lucrative job offers to write books, do TV shows, etc.

Time will tell if she does cash in on her fame.

Palin’s excuse for resigning that ethics complaints were costing the state too much has been debunked. The state lawyers draw salaries so would be paid the same whether investigating ethics complaints or not.

Also, the ethics complaints are possible because of a law Palin signed, which says something about her bad judgement.
