Whoopi Goldberg in Self-Destruction Mode, Defends Child Predator

September 29th, 2009 By: Michael van der Galien | Tags: , ,

whoopi goldberg defends child predatorUnbelievable. When we reported yesterday that movie director Roman Polanski was arrested in Zurich, Switzerland, we predicted that it would not be long before Hollywood would come rushing to his side, willing to defend one of their own against everything.

And with everything I do mean everything.

Case in point: On “The View” Whoopi Goldberg argued that Polanski should be released because he did not really “rape-rape” a 13-year old girl back in 1978. No, he just drugged her and then had sex with her. What’s wrong with that?

As Tommy Christopher reacts:

What I find much more disturbing is that, in that clip and another one that’s posted at Jezebel, the ladies of The View engage in some terrifying “debate” about what happened to then-13-year-old Samantha Geimer. Whoopi floats the notion that rape “wasn’t the allegation,” and that the victim “was aware,” and Melissa Gilbert thinks it makes a difference that “Mom was in the building.”

What the EFF? I hate to even point out the sickeningly obvious here. First of all, “rape-rape” was the allegation. Samantha Geimer testified that she told Polanski “No!” While Polanski denies this, he loses a couple of credibility points by drugging and sodomizing a 13 year old girl. I’d say she gets the benefit of the doubt here.

Notwithstanding that, though, is that the standard of consent now, “She was aware?” Keep an eye on your drinks, ladies, because in Whoopi’s world, the right dose of rohypnol will leave you just conscious enough to have deserved it.

Most fascinating about Goldberg’s reaction is that she and other prominent members of Hollywood always pretend to be feminists. Would a real feminist defend Polanski in this case?

Of course not.

But for ideological leftists feminism is nothing more than a tool to bring about the socialist change they have been dreaming of for decades. They aren’t real feminists; it’s just a pose. A weapon to be used against the right when necessary, not a set of principles they truly hold dear.

Meanwhile, foreigners made fun of the Netherlands when a group of pedophiles founded a political party – in order to get pedophilia legalized – but Goldberg proves that these people could’ve saved themselves a whole lot of trouble (and ridicule) by simply moving to Hollywood and directing a film or two.

Hollywood: Because moral values are a thing of the past.

It’s increasingly obvious that Hollywood “celebrities” are not living on the same planet as we are! Ms. Goldberg should be ashamed of herself, really;she and the rest of the so-called “enlightened” ones.

Roman Polanski drugged, raped and sodomized a 13 yr old child. These are the facts and there are no “shades of gray”. No 13 yr old is intellectually capable of consenting to an act such as occurred; certainly the decision to have sex with a 43 yr old man is not part of normal neurologic development at 13 or 14…..

I am comforted today by the fact recent news reports that normal French citizenry are just as outraged about all this “rallying around Polanski” as the rest of us who live in the real world; they don’t feel it’s justified and they are disgusted.

I think President Obama should have another verbal slipup about a female “J*****S”!

For clarification, could you explain who a “real feminist” is, please?

I’m not sure this is a left bias but more of a celebrity/Hollywood/artist bias. It is still amazing. If I replaced Roman Polanski and put in Father John of the St. Mary’s parish would the reaction be the same?

Hollywood is disgusting. There is no limits to
what or who they will support to protect their
own kind. Where are all the celebrity parents?
    Shame on them.

Paedophilia is the guilty secret of the 1960s – 1970s fame industry. Remember the stories of rock bands and celebrities having orgies with teenage groupies, does anyone really believe that all those girls were over the age of consent?

I did not get the impression that Whoopi Goldberg was defending Roman Polanski’s actions. She was trying to put the case in a legal context. Polanski had originally been charged with “rape by use of drugs, perversion, sodomy, lewd and lascivious act upon a child under 14, and furnishing a controlled substance (methaqualone) to a minor.” However under a plea bargain those charges were dropped in exchange for pleading guilty to “unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.”
I do think that saying that it wasn’t “rape rape” could well be interpreted as minimizing the seriousness of the charges.
