What upset a few in Poland, no doubt, was that these war games were going on roughly the same time as the 70th anniversary, on September 17, of the Soviet invasion of Poland! Poland has been jumping up and down to be provided with missiles of its own from the US, not to mention their determination not to be excluded from the missile shield plans. It is a message loud and clear to back the hell off NOW because if they do not, they are ground zero and prime target in any conflict. Easy to explain.
